Mirrors of Leonardo da Vinci

Before unknown organization which studies scripts and painting through a mirror reflection have spread information all around the world that the certain works by Leonardo da Vinci contain “new” secret message. It may be decoded with mirror. Before this several researchers have proved that a great master coded the most of his texts with mirror method. However, with regard to the painting these statements have forced the community to pay attention to them. The members of this strange organization affirm that putting a mirror to the specified parts of the da Vinci’s canvases you can see some secret messages. In them the artist, is says, was trying to show or hide something until the opportunity.

For example, in the most well-known Leonardo’s canvas “Giaconda” a secular’s reflection of the woman’s left shoulder show us a face of the human who looks like an image of the Jesus Christ with long hair, beard and typical form of the skull. In this variant it expressed as a reversed image.

Leonardo da Vinci

On the picture “Madonna and Child with St Anne and the Young St John” you can see a face of the warrior with vestment who more looks like a hero of fantastic films. His ominous look is a real godsend for the creators of the negative characters. But here is one question: what does it have to do with Leonardo da Vinci himself?

Leonardo da Vinci

The height of obscenity this organization has found in the painting “St. John in the Wilderness (Bacchus)” where put a mirror according an imaginary line passing between the eyes of the prophet. It affirms, that Leonardo has shown the exact places where you need to put mirror in order to see coded messages.

And, finally, the “mirrorers” have not stint their forces to create an ambiguous video where a “flying” mirror works miracles turning imaginary Leonardo’s secrets into the things of the absurdity and nonsense.

Blue elephant

My new work “Blue elephant”. I would to draw it with a blue skin because this color seems to me as more suitable to the elephant’s texture of the skin, and because there’s something long and sedative in it. I drew with a several layers and, little by little, merged in one. In the initial variant, I would to paint Buddhist deity of Ganesha. As a rule, Ganesha is painted as a human with elephant head. I had ever drawn a crown and decoration for the elephant, but then I’ve refused this variant because I’ve seen that the elephant looks better without them. So, now I have an elephant like from another planet.

This picture I drew in the familiar medium… It’s very easy to paint a hair. I brought nearer a picture a lot drawing the hair. It seemed as I drew a woolen texture. When it’s closer it looks like this, but from the far distance is what I need. Firstly, I wanted to work out the background in detail, but after I wished to finish as soon as possible. That because I’ve made it so quickly.

In general, here are two interrelated and fundamental questions: how to archive and how to keep. To someone this problem seems like a trifle, but for many professionals this is a real dilemma. Even from the point of view of distribution of charges for maintenance of video studio equipment there must to be the contingency expenses where is derailed clearly how many means are for archiving and keeping material. In order to avoid an appearance of problems you need to know that we have a question which is not idle, but, sometimes, it is a stumbling block for many cameramen and leaders of video studios.”

Snowy dream

This is a first picture drawing with this medium. Generally, I’ve used artistic impressionistic brushes, and have made a big size of the picture beforehand.

I has been inspired for the works like this by one artists from DeviantArt. Here is his gallery http://andrekosslick.deviantart.com/gallery.

I worked with two layers, but usually I do it with one only. I didn’t used my habitual brushes “just add water” and “water rake”.
